Each golf course that hosts a PGA TOUR event is ready to accommodate the relocating membership. For the majority, the travelling caravan’s arrival signals the start of the competition that serves as the event’s trademark. Although not always.
The 20th Wells Fargo Championship is being held this week at Quail Hollow Club, but this is only its fourth turn in the last six. It took a break in 2017 and 2022 to serve as the venue for the PGA Championship and the Presidents Cup, respectively, demonstrating its durability and adaptability. Quail Hollow has therefore established itself as a trustworthy test for a variety of objectives, even though this week’s Wells Fargo Championship is a scheduled tournament.
Additionally, this is the first designated event.
There will be reviews of renowned players like Sungjae Im, Tommy Fleetwood, and Justin Thomas in Golfbet Insider.
Quail Hollow Club has been a par 71 course for the Wells Fargo Championship for the past four years, but it originally became one when Justin Thomas won his first major at the PGA Championship in 2017. Even though the course was changed to make The Green Mile more likely to be in play more frequently, it kept its overall par when the Presidents Cup was held here the previous year. And it did, successfully navigating all three of the holes that made up holes 13, 14, and 15 for the biennial team competition with the exception of one.

Thus, since par breakers will be scarce down the stretch, potential winners will want to be in a position to convert pars.
The only significant change to Quail Hollow, aside from the routing reset, is actually a carryover from the Presidents Cup. With the addition of 17 yards, the par-3 fourth hole can now be reached at 184 yards. Quail Hollow measures 7,538 yards in total. 17 of the 24 Presidents Cup competitors are committed as
While winds will be gusty prior to the actual tournament, they won’t push at all during the actual competition, which could raise interest during practise. In fact, the lack of choppy gusts should make scoring, whisper it, rather decent throughout. On Saturday, there is a chance of rain, but if anything, it will help to soften the targets. This favours long bats, who consistently do well at Quail Hollow, but seasonable weather devoid of significant moisture helps level the expectations across all skill levels.
